Pittsburgh Folk Festival
If you don’t have a big cookout planned don’t worry, Pittsburgh has you covered. At the David L Lawrence Convention Center this weekend (May 25th-27th, 2007) you will find the Pittsburgh Folk Festival. It’s only $10 at the door to get in and enjoy the festivities, but parking may be an issue so you may want to take public transportation to Downtown.
This is what their website PGHFolkFest.org, has to say about the event:
A Memorial Day weekend multicultural celebration of more than 30 nationalities featuring traditional ethnic entertainment, food and refreshments. Shop in the international bazaar, learn a dance, see traditional crafts or visit the cultural exhibits to learn more about a country and its people. There is something for everyone to enjoy!
I was checking out the site and it looks like there will be something going on everyday. So if your cookout gets rained out or you forget to buy hotdogs, come down to the Folk Fest.
